Twelve people are in custody after authorities say a group of illegal migrants came ashore early Thursday morning in Palm Beach County.
Officials say the migrants made land around 2 a.m. in Manalapan. Authorities believe the people came ashore near the Boynton Inlet on a 23-foot boat that was registered in the Bahamas.
Among the 10 people in custody, three are from Haiti, two are from Ecuador and two are from Colombia.
Seven were picked up rather quickly, the rest were rounded up eventually. Two of the 12 are suspected of being human smugglers.
