We're learning more about a former local high school football coach.
We had initially told you that John Fey, who was entering what would have been his fourth year at the helm of the football team at Jensen Beach High, had been suspended indefinitely.
Now, we're told Fey has resigned from his position.
The Martin County School District released a statement from Fey which said he used inappropriate language in an attempt to motivate the team to play with more mental and physical toughness.
The Falcons opened up the season last Friday with a loss to Lake Worth High School. The team plays Forest Hill High School this week.
Fey also stepped down as Dean of students at Jensen Beach. He will be retained to work in another capacity within the district, according to our Newschannel 5 partners.
Interim head coach Tim Caffey will remain in place for at least the rest of the season.
