You may want to hold back a few bucks for gas. The statewide average for a gallon has risen to $3.39. That's up about 7 cents since last week and AAA says the hikes will continue.
Spokesman Mark Jenkins says we could be paying $3.67 on average by the end of February. That's if prices inch up 33 cents over the rest of February, mirroring what occured at this time last year.
For the record, Jenkins says at this time in 2013, Florida drivers were paying on average 39 cents more than we're paying right now.
Refinery maintenance, the switch to a more expensive fuel blend and increased demand with the spring driving season are all to blame for the hikes, according to AAA.
